The Software Quality Assurance, Automation Test Engineer (ATE) is responsible for the design, build, testing and deploying of effective test automation solutions to support the test requirements.  In order to meet this goal, the ATE will be required to implement appropriate technologies to meet the short and long term goals of the testing organization.  The overall objective is to automate as much of the testing as possible (90%) with minimum manual execution (10%). The first set of priorities should focus on test effort and not the test coverage – therefore if one manual test case consumes a greater percentage of test resources, then this needs to be automated immediately.  The ideal candidate should have prior experience implementing automated test suites from the ground up.
