LiveOffice Management Team
Nick Mehta
Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Nick Mehta's focus is on continuing to grow LiveOffice's market leadership in the software-as-a-service messaging industry. Serving in senior operating roles for public and private companies in the enterprise and consumer technology markets for much of his career, Nick has built a well-respected reputation in the email and messaging industry. He spent more than five years at Symantec Corporation (NASDAQ: SYMC) and Veritas Software Corporation (acquired by Symantec in 2005), where he served as vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Vault (formerly KVS) information archiving and discovery software business from its acquisition in 2004 until 2007. During this time, the business grew from $23 million in annual sales in 2004 to more than $200 million in 2007 and received recognition from ESG, Gartner, Forrester, IDC and Radicati as being the leading product in the "on-premise" email archiving market. Nick has also held other roles leading product management for all email-related businesses at Symantec and previously for CommandCentral, a suite of storage management solutions.
Prior to Veritas, Nick ran product management at XDegrees, a venture-funded storage software startup which was acquired by Microsoft. Before that, Nick cofounded his first business during college in the mid 1990s, a venture-funded online golf retailer called Chipshot.com that became one of the top 20 online retailers of its time. Most recently, Nick served as an entrepreneur-in-residence at venture capital firm Trinity Ventures.
Nick holds a Bachelor's degree in Biochemical Sciences and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Harvard University.
On a personal note, Nick loves watching football, playing (flag) football and coaching (fantasy football). Nick is a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, is married to another die-hard fan and is raising two new (toddler and newborn) die-hard fans.

Alexander Rusich
Founder, Chief Visionary Officer and Chairman of the Board
Taking companies from their early development phases and guiding them through high growth is Alexander Rusich's specialty. He has spent more than 15 years as chief executive officer at two startup companies, where he demonstrated his ability to build profitable companies in markedly different sectors. A seasoned technology expert, Alexander has developed and launched a variety of technology products and services to meet the latest demands of the business world. He has spearheaded the engineering and development of a range of software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions designed to not only meet compliance needs but also increase worker productivity.
Prior to cofounding LiveOffice, Alexander served as chief executive officer of Manhattan Analytics, Inc., a developer of fund analysis solutions for individual and institutional investors. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Truthfully, there’s not much Alexander isn’t passionate about – family, sports, celebrity gossip (shh!) and the list goes on. He and his amazing wife are teaching their two children to make decisions for themselves at a young age; the current household debate is whether to root for Dad’s Bruins or Mom’s Fighting Irish.
Matthew Smith
Founder, President and Chief Operating Officer
Matthew Smith’s entrepreneurial spirit and multidisciplinary experience in marketing, sales and operations have been instrumental in helping LiveOffice position itself as a formidable player in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry. A leading force in the company’s long-term growth strategy, Matthew has proven expertise in designing and improving subscription-based business models for maximum growth and profit. Matthew is a veteran of the message archiving industry, spending the last decade providing organizations with innovative technology solutions to properly archive emails and meet stringent regulatory compliance requirements. Today he continues to oversee the launch of new technology products to meet demands for message management solutions as the need for outsourced email hosting and archiving continues to expand.
Matthew is a sought-after expert on electronic messaging and has been quoted in several national publications. Prior to cofounding LiveOffice, Matthew cofounded Manhattan Analytics, a developer of fund analysis solutions for individual and institutional investors, where he served as executive vice president of marketing. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Matt is an avid beach-goer and hoops player who is still talking about his glory days as UCLA’s intramural slam dunk champion. He bleeds Bruin blue and gold and is a John Wooden disciple. He and his wife, a fellow UCLA alum, live in awe of their new little girl.
Senthil Kumar
Chief Technology Officer
A longtime member of the LiveOffice management team, Senthil Kumar has led the technology group for more than 10 years. His expertise helped the company grow from a pioneering startup to one of the leading software-as-a-service providers in the hosted email and archiving industry. Senthil was also instrumental in building the LiveOffice Hosted Exchange platform, and he continues to develop new products as the company grows and branches out into new markets.
In addition to being a highly experienced technology executive, Senthil is also a seasoned entrepreneur. Prior to joining LiveOffice, he helped launch Gan-X Software, India’s first comprehensive personal finance and money management website. Soon after that, Senthil founded and served as chief executive officer of IMInsight Software, a consulting firm specializing in information technology, operations and strategic sourcing. Senthil received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Madras, India.
Senthil is the resident "night owl" at LiveOffice and also carries the distinction of being the only LA Laker fan at the company devoted enough to wake up in the middle of the night to watch games during a recent trip to India. A lifelong jock, Senthil serves as the lead-off batter for the LiveOffice softball team, and his biggest fan is his beautiful wife.
Dean Nicolls
Vice President, Marketing
With more than 20 years of marketing experience, Dean Nicolls has a breadth of experience in demand generation, branding, product management, marketing analytics and channel marketing. In his post at LiveOffice, he is responsible for leading marketing initiatives, increasing brand awareness, and driving business strategy for the company’s hosted software solutions. Outside the office, Dean enjoys spending time with his family (wife and two rambunctious boys), ocean swimming, water polo and running with his best friend, Murphy, a flat-coated retriever. A longtime resident of Seattle, Dean misses the grey, but is slowly getting used to his new, ultra-sunny Southern California locale.
Jim O'Hara
Vice President, Sales and Business Development
Jim O’Hara brings more than 25 years of strategic sales experience to LiveOffice, where he is responsible for leading all sales, strategic partnerships and new market development activities. Previously, Terry held senior management positions in operations, engineering and architecture at various companies, including Talaris Corporation, Corio, Sabre Technologies, Galileo International and United Airlines. Terry earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Loyola University of Chicago.
On the weekends, you’ll find Terry and his wife hitting golf balls at their favorite course or tossing tennis balls to their best friend, Gus, a spirited Labrador retriever. Although he left Chicago more than two decades ago, Terry is still an avid fan of “Da Bears” and remains loyal to Denver’s Broncos and Nuggets.

Vice President, Client Services

A native Southern Californian, Steve has been a devoted LA Lakers fan since before Magic and Kareem ruled the court. These days, he enjoys watching the "new" Lakers with his wife and four children. When he’s not at the office or watching the Lakers, you can find him at the gym.
