LIVEOFFICE FREE CONFERENCING LAUNCHES WEB 2.0 CALL CONTROLS
September 18, 2006
TORRANCE, Calif., September 18, 2006 – LiveOffice Corp.’s Conferencing Division (http://freeconferencing.liveoffice.com/) today
launched a new web-based call control panel to its 14,000+ service subscribers. The new Free Conferencing Web Manager helps
conference call organizers better manage every step of their calls by allowing them to control individual attendee rights from the
convenience of their Internet-connected desktop or laptop PC.
Enabled by AJAX technology, the Free Conferencing Web Manager allows call hosts to view detailed information about attendees in real-time, including their name, the number they are calling from, their connection status and their join and leave times. One of the most unique features is the interactive Q&A function that allows muted attendees to use their phone keypad to “virtually” raise their hand when they have a question. The raised hand appears on the call host’s Web Manager screen next to the attendee’s name and allows the host to un-mute that individual attendee so that they can ask their question.
“Thousands of people have already discovered that LiveOffice Free Conferencing is the most feature-rich and best free teleconferencing product on the market today,” said Ted Heieck, product manager for LiveOffice Corp. “Now we are taking the functionality a step further - making the call management process simpler than ever before by giving call hosts a way to visually see and manage what is going on during their call at any given second.”
In addition, call organizers are provided with more than 10 different options for using their PC to control a call in real-time, ranging from ending the conference to muting all participants or starting conference recording. Each of these options can be instantly enabled or disabled with a quick click of the mouse button, giving the event host incredible control throughout the call. Plus, conference hosts can enable certain features, such as call mute, for one participant, while disabling it for another participant.
A call host can also use the convenient Free Conferencing Web Manager’s click-to-call feature to dial-out to a participant – all they have to do is enter the attendee’s phone number and click the Dial Participant button. Once enabled, this feature rings the participant’s phone and automatically joins them into the conference call when they answer it.
LiveOffice Free Conferencing is an on-demand, reservationless service that can accommodate 250 participants on a single call for up to 6 hours. Registering for a free account is easy and only requires that the registrant enter their name and email on the signup page form located at http://freeconferencing.liveoffice.com/. Once they click the signup button, they are provided with a dial-in number and conference code that they can instantly use to begin hosting conference calls and taking advantage of LiveOffice’s real-time Free Conferencing Web Manager.
