LiveOffice on Monday announced a new Web portal for its Managed Messaging Services designed to give organizations easy access to archived e-mails and
statistics regarding storage space utilization.
The portal for LiveOffice's Sentinel services gives administrators instant access to archived messages as well as real-time, graphical views of the
entire organization's e-mail activities, including reports on inbound threat levels and percentage of archive space used, according to company
officials. The portal also offers reporting capabilities that can categorize usage on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, they say.
The portal acts as a front end for the company's existing services, which include spam, virus and phishing protection; message search and retrieval;
message encryption; and compliance and policy management to ensure employees abide by corporate and regulatory guidelines regarding appropriate content
sent via e-mail or instant messaging.
The portal is freely available to users of LiveOffice's Sentinel services.
LiveOffice says many of its customers are in the financial services industry, but expects that by 2010 more than 50% of its revenue will come from
businesses outside of this sector.
In February, the company announced a partnership to offer Secure Computing's IronMail e-mail security appliance as a hosted service. Secure Computing
acquired the IronMail product line with its purchase of CipherTrust last summer. LiveOffice is pursuing other partnerships to expand its reach,
officials say.
