The most critical part of any anti-virus solution is the ability to identify and block virus threats early and accurately. Through its partnership with Secure Computing, LiveOffice employs its industry-leading IronMail email security appliance and Outbreak Defender virus protection for a first line of defense against email threats.
Multiple Layer Protection
The system uses a variety of measures to block all email virus threats, whether they are viruses, worms or hybrids, and removes them before they reach your mail server. The core solution consists of multiple best-in-class filtering engines that go beyond sender validation authentication, IP and domain levels and traffic patterns to effectively stop new types of threats as well as known dangers.
Outbreak Defender uses these 3 kinds of virus protection: predictive protection to recognize and block new threats before they become outbreaks; preventive protection through automatic software updates, optimizations and filtering that inspect all email content for indications of virus activity; and reactive protection, which provides an added layer of security via traditional content filtering and signature-based analysis.
Rapid Response Platform
Inbound emails are then filtered through LiveOffice’s exclusive Sentinel platform to provide clients with control over the level of protection appropriate for their businesses. This rapid response program closes the window of vulnerability between when a virus is launched and when it is identified and counter-attacked.
The customizable Sentinel platform delivers maximum anti-virus protection using a combination of advanced heuristic scanning, Bayesian probability analysis, bulk detection, DNS blacklists, fingerprinting, and custom whitelisting and blacklisting technology.
Web-based Reports
Anti-virus reports are available to clients anytime through the web. When a virus attempts to either enter or leave the client network, LiveOffice intercepts and drops the virus, notifies users that they attempted to send a virus email and then logs the incident in the Client Portal.
