LiveOffice Email Continuity provides users with “standby mailboxes,” enabling them to send and receive email when their servers are unavailable (just as if it were online). Email Continuity captures users’ inbound, outbound and interoffice messages (including attachments), both before and during an outage, and stores and indexes them in LiveOffice's cloud-based archive.

Email Continuity is an always-on feature of the LiveOffice archive. If an email server outage occurs, no on-off switch is required to enable continuity services. The continuity service is an extension of the primary email server.

By configuring the secondary gateway for an email security provider, organizations can allow copies of all messages to route to the archive if the primary gateway fails.
