While interest in using social networking tools as a way to better communicate with clients continues to grow, it’s more important than ever to ensure that firms have an adequate method in place for capturing and supervising social media communications. - Capture all messages from LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter in a centralized repository
- Meet FINRA guidance for social media (per Regulatory Notice 10-06)
- Define which social networking features employees have access to on the different social networking sites
- Review, approve or reject messages before they are posted
- Supervise social media content with the same compliance workflow and lexicon of keywords and phrases as other electronic messages (e.g., email, IMs)
- Ensure compliance policies are being enforced through pre-review and monitoring
- Search social media posts, using keyword, phrase, Boolean, proximity, fuzzy and other methods to fulfill regulatory audits or legal requests
